The deadline for AHP scholarship applications is on hold.
Over the past three years, Alpha Eta Rho has been able to award almost $30,000 to active members. Scholarship awards are a benefit for Alpha Eta Rho members and help students reach their career goals in aviation.
AHP announces 5 new college scholarships, valued at $2,000 each and 1 scholarship valued at $1,000. A total of $11,000 (six individual scholarships) will be awarded in 2019. Apply online for one scholarship, and submit by Wednesday, July 31, 2019, with all supporting documentation. Winners will be announced during the 2019 Alpha Eta Rho National Conference in Las Vegas, NV, October 25, 2019. All applicants will be notified of the selections of the Board of Directors via phone call the last week of August. Scholarship checks will be given to the recipients' during the National Conference. Piedmont Airlines Scholarship (2 awards value $2,000 each) Headquartered in Salisbury, Maryland, Piedmont Airlines, Inc. carries over 3 million passengers a year, flying approximately 400 flights a day to 55+ destinations. Piedmont Airlines operates a fleet of deHavilland Dash-8 and Embraer 145 aircraft providing feed from regional markets throughout the east coast into American Airlines' hubs and focus cities. AirCargo Carriers Scholarship (value $2,000) Air Cargo Carriers, LLC. has been synonymous with dependability and quality in the air freight industry since 1986. As the company has grown, so has the number of industries it serves. Air Cargo Carriers continue to provide the greatest customer care-driven service to the air freight industry as well as many others. By carrying over the core belief structure forged in the air freight business of providing the customer what they want, on time and at a competitive rate, Air Cargo is able to provide superior air freight services to our growing list of satisfied customers. PSA Airlines Scholarship (value $2,000) PSA’s mission is to always deliver satisfied customers to their destination, safely and on time. We are committed to growing our company where passion is shared, professional excellence is expected, and all people – customers and employees – are valued and respected. PSA Airlines operates an all-jet fleet consisting of exclusively Bombardier regional jet aircraft. We have an incredible team of more than 5,000 employees who do a tremendous job of operating more than 800 daily flights to nearly 100 destinations on behalf of American Airlines. Mesa Airlines Scholarship (value $2,000) Founded on a mesa in New Mexico in 1982 and headquartered in Phoenix since 1998, Mesa Airlines provides regional air service for American Airlines under the American Eagle banner and for United Airlines under the United Express brand. Mesa operates 145 aircraft with approximately 610 daily departures as commercial air service to 110 cities in 38 states, the District of Columbia, Canada, Mexico, Cuba, and the Bahamas.
